Product Overview

This heavy duty galvanized wire rope barrier is the fixed installation version of the anti drone net: thicker rope, reinforced edge cables and stainless fittings, specified for sites that must stay protected for decades without re-coating. Mesh aperture is made to order from 15x15cm up to 50x50cm, so a substation can use a tight grid at low level and a wider grid on the tall spans where only larger airframes are a concern.

The system is designed for two mounting styles. Vertically it forms a perimeter curtain around switchyards, fuel farms and equipment compounds; horizontally it becomes an overhead canopy over transformers, courtyards and loading areas. In both cases the flexible rope absorbs impact across the whole panel, and the open weave keeps ventilation and inspection sightlines clear.

Installation

Vertical runs are tensioned between steel posts with turnbuckles and anchored to a concrete footing; horizontal runs are suspended from structural beams or dedicated cable trusses. The supplier provides a layout drawing with anchor spacing, tension values and accessory list for each project, and installation is carried out with standard rigging tools.
